Snake in the grass. Literally.......................

When we moved here in 1994, we were told by the old owner that there were no snakes on the island. Lived here all her life. At that time, almost 60 years, never saw a snake. Since then, time has proven her wrong, with frequent sightings. BUT, this photo has taken it to a whole new level. Any idea what they are doing? A big ball rubbing themselves together.

Those were prophylactics, not snakeskins. Perhaps the large size confused you?????
