Hi everyone,

Guided Father/Son- Ben and Bryce for a full day of walleye hunting. Walleyes were slow but we got into crappies. Fishing deep wood with the lead-free jigs, we only boated 2 walleyes, but caught a lot of quality crappies, bluegills, and perch. Kept around 20-25 crappies with a bunch of quality perch and bluegills mixed in the cooler. Ben even caught a rare warmouth. We were tipping the lead-free jigs with minnows, crawlers, and used up the last of my leeches. Crappies bit well on the crawlers just as well as with the minnows.

Had cloudy and windy conditions to start, but the clouds cleared out and the wind settled down and turned out to be a beautiful day. Was able to sneak by the bog at the bridge, so was able to fish both sides. The opening past the bog was about 5-8 feet wide. Water temps remained at 72 degrees and with more sunshine in the forecast it should remain stable. My August is filled up but still have a few openings for Sept. and even more for October. Call now to book your fall walleye hunt. Good luck fishing everyone.
