Back out once again on Tuesday with guest Roger for a go at some big flowage crappie and the big slabs didn't let us down. Using 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with medium fatheads, we worked several deep stumps and root systems on river channel edges in 14 to 16 foot of water and found the majority of our 20 crappie in these areas, others came from 20 plus foot depths just off a sharp break that dropped from 14 to 20 plus feet over rocks and gravel, these fish were holding fairly tight to the bottom as they were not detected by sonar, these slabs were caught while looking for walleye, go figure.
