Mondays walleye action picked up and some very nice fish were caught. Fishing once again with my guest Roger, we found not only walleye on a good bite but some big jumbo perch mixed in as well. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads, we found a couple of smaller eyes in 6 to 8 feet of water over submerged stumps. Working a couple more similar spots with no action, we then moved in close to the wind blown weedy shorelines and here we scored on some nice fish. With a good stiff SW wind blowing, the eyes and perch were in and on a good feed as we limited on eyes that ranged from 14 to 17 inches and 4 perch between 10 and 12 inches. Not a bad morning of fishing.
