Back out on Friday for an afternoon trip with guests Dan and Isabel and we found the fishing to be pretty good. Starting out with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads, we worked a few wind blown bays with lots of submerged wood and found the action to be fairly good at the best, working these spots back and forth for some time, we managed to pick up 5 nice eyes along with 1 perch. Deciding to try something all together different, we rigged up with fixed bobbers along with in-line spinners and started drifting the shallow mud flats. Tipping our spinners with the smaller fatheads, we made a few drifts over this area and caught our final 4 eyes along with a couple throwbacks and two more nice perch. Water temps were back in the mid 60's and no sign of mayflies popping up.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
