Lake Trout fishing on Crow Lake it might start to make a change this next week. Right now we have been trolling 3 inch brown or green Husky Jerks, long lining 100 feet back, 12 to 20 feet of water right along the shore.
Crow Lake water temps are 62 on the main lake. When the sun is out we are catching spawning female bass in the shallows with crank baits, or green with black speck grubs with a 1/4 oz jig heads.
Portage lake fishing for bass have been on fire. Photos to follow soon.
All of the bass fisherman have been catching Muskie by accident coming into the bays to spawn. We have been seeing a lot of Muskie along the docks and shorelines.
Walleye fishing has been outstanding. Do not have to go far, as close as 5 miles from our dock on Steven's Bay on LOTW. Also the portage lakes have been doing very well.
Hope to see you on the water.
