Fridays walleye action was almost a repeat performance of Thursdays, despite a big cold front moving in on us, and big winds, the eyes were on a mission, and that was to complete their spawning, good thing many of them took time out for a snack. Working shallow 4 to 7 foot weedy/rocky shorelines with Reeve's weedless jigs & fatheads, my client and I were honed in on a very good bite, at times it was like one fish every cast, and the majority of these eyes measured in the upper teens, the good part was not one of them were females, all milking males, my tan carpet turned white after awhile. After a short time in this area and with 4 beauties in the well, we then tried some back bays for panfish of any sort and still continued to boat walleye. It was 10:30 am when we called it quits, temps had dropped from 60 down into the lower 40's, that temp drop along with the winds made our minds up for us.

Back out today with high hopes again, will keep you posted.
