How is travel on the Bay now? Thinking about chasing Whitefish or Perch before the ice is gone. Don't want to go swimming!

Guys we have talked to the last couple days have said the travel conditions are much better now, than they were last week. Most of the snow has been knocked down, and there's not nearly as much standing water on the surface of the ice, so it's not quite as sloppy.
Nice perch being caught north of the narrows. You might only catch 3 or 4 one day, then 15 to 20 the next. That's fishing. You never know until you go. Good luck.
