Hello Everybody, how's the ice on the TFF? Hope to get up there the weekend of the 14/15 and would preferably like to bring the ATV or snowmobile with the portable behind it. Speaking of that, how is the snow cover on the ice? Would an ATV or snowmobile be better? Oh, and I was curious if Don Pemble is still guiding for ice fishing? (It won't let me send him a private message and I cannot find his number) If they going starts getting rough for my son and I, I might have to seek out his expertise. An update would be much appreciated, and stay safe out there!

We had 4"-5" of ice before the storm that dropped about a foot of snow in the area followed by sleet that has given the snow cover a crust.

Don Pemble had some heart surgery about a month ago and is doing well last I heard. You may contact him at 715-776-0098.

Jeff Robl is also guiding for ice fishing. His number is 715-776-0140. His website is:https://sites.google.com/site/bobberdownguideservice/

Snowmobile trails will open on Monday, December 9, 2013.

See www.turtleflambeauflowage.com for more info on the area including cabins and food, along with ordering a free map.

Come and embrace the beauty of Winter in the Northwoods.

it look like the flowage is going to have all the snow and ice you would need for a good time.

The ice went out in the Lake Bastine area on May 11, 2013 and we also got an inch or two of snow that night. Most of the snow was gone by about May 18, 2013. It was a very strange and long winter/spring. Usually the ice is out in mid-April.
