Hi everyone,
Guided Bill and his son Greg yesterday for a half day in the A.M. picking them up at the boat landing. Started out sunny but chilly with a modest west wind. Water temps had cooled a couple degrees and the fish were a little more active. Using my PROaggressive inline jigs tipped with minnows through some mid depth wood,we were able to successfully boat 2 walleyes keeping one at 15", several crappies keeping 8, 2 at 12", 2 perch, a 12"er and a 10"er, and also caught a nice smallie at 17".
Water levels are down 2 1/2 feet according to the xcel energy website and the water is going to go down another 2 1/2 feet by the end of Oct. so be careful out there. Cooler weather is in the forecast so fishing should keep improving as the water temps keep cooling down. Good luck fishing everyone.
