Mike from Rockford, IL and his step-son Mike were staying at Well's Lakeside Cottages for the week and wanted to learn a few spots.
Nice morning but a really strong east wind made boat control difficult. They had an 8 hour trip booked but we cut it to a 5 hour because of the wind. We did jig various spots so they could familiarize themselves with some areas, and I pointed out a few more on the map. The first fish of the day was a 23 1/2 inch walleye and we thought it was going to be a great morning. That was the only large walleye we caught. We trolled for a short time and finished at 11:30 with 1 in the slot, 16 "shorties", 13 white bass, 2 crappies, 2 smallmouth bass, 1 nice northern, and 1 cat.;)
