Hi everyone,

Fished the afternoon yesterday and found the fish to be cooperatve. Started with a cloudy, misty day that cleared up to reach the heat index of 100 degrees. It was downright hot. The wind was light from the North to start then swithched to a very light East wind. I fished the deeper wood in 20-22 feet of water with my lead-free jigs, and with 78 degree water temps, I found the fish hitting the jigs tipped with minnows rather then leeches. I was kept busy with 4 walleyes, northern, Sm bass, perch, bluegills, crappie, and rock bass.

I caught fish in all the spots I fished but found a school of crappies in one particular spot and went through most of my scoop of minnows. Most crapies were of decent size but I released everything and wished I would have kept a few of those crappies for a fish dinner. Oh well, now I have a good excuse to go fishing again! Good luck fishing everyone.
