I had Phil Cali out yesterday for a full day. I screwed up on a fish in the morning on a Flowage Boa spinnerbait. My drag locked up and the fish tried to peel out line but the bait just ripped free. I should have free spooled him. That was a forty inch class fish. Should have been a done deal. We had one other follow a Flowage Boa in the morning. In the evening we caught three fish on Pacemakers. One low thirty inch leaper and a 36 incher and a 46 incher. All on spots we haven't caught a fish on this year. Makes sense right? Who'd a thunk it? Good to see the topwater bite kick in.
