The past two days with WNW winds, the walleyes were in the shallows and on a pretty good bite. Both days, my clients and I worked shallow (3 to 6ft.) shorelines with lots of wood and weeds using 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fathead minnows and had on and off action pretty much all day long. Some areas held fish and others didn't, it was just a matter of working all areas with similar structure. We also picked up some real nice jumbo perch on the same setup along with an occasional smallie.
Back out today and tomorrow, will keep you posted.
