We have come to the TFF to camp for 30+ years and this year's excursion is next week...can't wait!
For those of you who have been there recently, just wondering if you've noticed how busy the campsites have been around Baraboo Lake basin?
Some of our favorite spots have been closed, or severely affected, by the tornado. I know we should bring lots of bug stuff....anybody have an opinion on Natrapel(picaridin) vs. DEET?
I know the campsites can be empty one week and packed the next, but any response is appreciated.....just excited to get back to the TFF!

They were all pretty busy last weekend, but keep in mind that it was 4th of July weekend. You just never know.

Enjoy your time on the TFF.

There's fewer campsites open close to Springstead landing, so yes there's more "competition". The undamaged F-sites fill up 1st, followed by the other table sites. We see more people using some of the smaller R-sites like R-19 and 24, they used to be our Friday nite last choice sites if all the others were full. If you come up on Sunday or early in the week you'll have no trouble getting a site. Another observation is that since the pay group sites opened the free group sites are unoccupied a lot of the time. Have fun!

There were multiple sites open this afternoon. What a shame that Wisconsin's Scenic Wilderness Waters Area is so underused, especially when the campsites are free.

Fishing action has remained red hot as well.
