Hi everyone,

Guided long time client and friend Bill and his son Gregg today for a half day. We started our journey under a clear sky with filtered sunshine. The wind was howling at times out of the Northwest which made it a case where we fished where we could not where we wanted. All the rain from the day before had cooled the surface temps back down to 75 degrees from 83 on Monday. Despite all the unstable weather patterns and water temps going up and down like a yoyo, we were able to find fish. I anchored us in out of the wind places where there was a lot of deeper wood then I normally would fish and we enjoyed catching lots of crappies, walleyes, perch, northern and bluegills.

The crappies were caught mainly on lead-free jigs and minnows with most of the other fish hitting the lead-free jigs tipped with leeches. Remember, be good stewards of our natural resources and go lead-free. Good luck fishing everyone.
