Water Temps: 76 to 78 degree's
Good action this week, most anglers doing well on Walleye, Bass and Panfish.
Walleye, use leeches or crawlers for livebait with an 1/8oz jig or #2 hook with a split shot just heavy enough to keep the bait on the bottom. If your not into using livebait try Lindy Watsit's these tails are hot right now. Nice walleye's this week with a 25" out of the Spirit Flowage. Action below the dams have been on and off, lots of undersized ones but keepers are being caught. Fishing the bridge by the Ice Cream stand on Nokomis is a good spot during the week with anglers doing very well, leeches are the choice here.
Smallmouth Bass, Plastics, Crankbaits and Spinners are all working good. Bass are mostly in the shallows. Best action has been the late morning hours.
Panfish, Gills are deeper now slip bobbers with live bait such as Waxies or Trout worms, use small leeches along the deeper weeds. Perch have been weed related, small orange jigs with a beavertail or Southern Pro Crawfish tails. Crappies, not much action. evening hours been best, use Beetle spins along fallen trees or stumps with lots of roots.
Muskies, top water action is on! Good action on the area flowages. Blade baits working well also running the lure just below the surface. Two 50+ fish caught in the last 2 weeks with a 47" this week.
Good Luck!
