Hi everyone,
Good to get out on the water after a week of taking care of other business. Guided Kevin and his 9 year old daughter Addie for a half day out of Treelands resort today. We fished hard and Addie was a champ. She caught the most and the biggest giving us old guys a lesson. We wound up catching 6 different species of fish on what was actually a tough bite. We hauled in crappies,Sm bass,rock bass, A huge bluegill(Addie) only one walleye, and another knuckle head northern.
We used minows on jigs fishing mostly in the wood both deep and mid depth. most fish were on the deep side of the drop offs rather then on top of the flats. The water temps are the same as a week ago-60. We had a easy east wind with heavy clouds that threatened rain, but never did. The air temps are more like october then June. when it warms up, I still think the fishing will improve dramatacally. The weather just doesn't want to warm up. If anybody sees any global warming, send it our way! Good luck fishing everyone.
