Monday and Tuesday not only saw some good walleye action, but big panfish as well. Working shallow (4ft) shorelines with wood/weed combo paid off as my clients and I found not only decent sized eyes in these wind blow areas but big crappies, jumbo perch and bluegills as well. Using 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a half crawler, we found these fish tucked into the heaviest weed patches and thickest wood stickups. Also found some big perch in 10 feet of water over submerged wood and other scattered eyes in 6 to 8 feet in and around wood/rocky areas. Special note on the panfish, all females were still carrying eggs, should have some fantastic action on them when they make their move to spawn.
