Hi everyone,

Today I guided Robin and David from Ney York City again and we had a fabulous day. With a mostly sunny sky and cool air temps with a voracious SW wind, we caught a lot of walleyes and lost a few in the process. We rounded it out with a northern and perch. The water temps are rising-60 today and with it the fishing is getting better.

We caught a total of 16 walleyes keeping 7 and we kept the perch. Robin and David have an excellent fresh fish fry in store for them. We caught everything on jigs and minnows and really didn't try any other baits because the walleyes were really nailing the jigs tipped with fathead minnows. We found the walleyes on the woody structures again in the 12-22 foot range. They were really everywhere. Wood is the key. You will lose a lot of jigs, so use lead-free jigs. With the high water there are logs floating around. I missed a log floating low by about a foot. Didn't see it till right on top of it. Be carefull out there. Good luck fishing everyone.
