Sundays action really dropped off due to the big cold front that moved in. Waking up to 31 degree temps and a half inch of snow in the boat was not a good start to the day. Dealing with fairly strong NNE winds and water temps that dropped from the mid 50's to the low 40's didn't help either. With all that said, my clients and I did find some nice hefty eyes in various depths and bottom structure. Using 1/8th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads, we found a few in 8 feet of water over a rocky bottom with a fairly strong current passing thru a narrows, had a few other bites there but no fish. Moving on to work wind blown shorelines produced just 1 small 14 incher that was released. We then moved to an area that was fairly protected from the wind and worked a 10 foot deep mud flat just off of a river channel and here we found some more hefty eyes. They weren't jumping in the boat, but we worked this area for some time and after having lost 3 big honkers just of nets reach, we finally found their twins and we were finished for the day.

Starting out an hour later today to let it warm up, 27 degrees out now, will keep you posted.
