I just saw on the Lakeland Times website that the LDF tribe is going to have a musky spearing tournament on March 16th on 5 lakes, also on the Times website the LDF states they voted to reduce the daily bag limit to 2 this year on the lakes in the ceded territory.

wonderful,,,,,,,,,just frickin' wondeful.

Honestly, I thought the DNR established the limit, not the tribe.

The tribes are upset over wolves and mining. Their answer is to poke the DNR in the eye with their walleye take, elk shooting, and musky spearing tournament. It's obvious how high the stakes are. Did you know that nearly every walleye lake in Wi has a one or two fish limit weather or not it is speared. What's up with that? Well, its an effort to mobilize political support against the tribe. Life is finite and both parties are stealing my fishing life. I am tired of being victimized for some faceless parties political victory. A curse on all involved.

Look for the piles of speared walleye in the woods near the rez. After they are speared, many are just dumped in the woods to rott away.

Let me add also to stop spending money at local businesses as the owners also need to step up and put the pressure on to stop this mess.Bottom line we all need to hit them in the pocket book if you want action not just a bunch of excuses.
