We are hitting the late winter blues....lots of snow on the lakes is making travel difficult and slush is getting to be a big factor on lots of lakes. Plan on getting stuck when you head out. Fishing has been OK, with short windows in the morning and right before dark. Cloudy days shows a little earlier bite in the afternoon, and during the bright sunny days, the bite starts right after the sun hits the trees.

Walleyes are deep for me right now, with the bite being best on or around deep rock humps and gravel. Ray's suckers under tip ups are working good. I have seen a jig bite re-appear with Rapala Jiggin Shads being the best.

Crappies are starting to get active right at dark suspended over 20-30' mud flats. Use your electronics to mark them, and then adjust accordingly.

Been traveling doing sport shows, and again at Madison this weekend.....no fishing this weekend..

Good Luck!
