the builder of a few Oak Island favorites died this weekend.
Bob Patterson made the "Grabb-It" and the 60" floating muskie ruler.
he was a member of Capital City Muskies Inc.

Sorry to report that long time CCMI friend and staunch supporter Bob "60
Muskie Measuring Stick" Patterson passed away on Sunday.

His service will be Friday Feb 1 @ 3:00. The family indicated that
donations can be made to Agrace HospiceCare, or CCMI "for stocking young
Muskies into Madison lakes, a project he felt strongly about."

Bob did a lot of good for CCMI, was always there strongly supporting CCMI
stocking, club fundraisers (made up the decals and fundraiser tickets ) and
activities. He will be sorely missed.

and a silver lining...

BP Products to Continue:

I have had a number of questions about whether or not bp Products will continue so people can continue to
obtain 60” Muskie Measure floating rulers and Grabb-it hook removers. One person called me and said he
had heard that Grabb-its would not be available anymore at all. Not so! Fear not! Last fall Bob Patterson
began the transfer of his business to our oldest daughter Zoe and her husband Tim Miller. They have a
good inventory of Grabb-its. Zoe had been taught a number of years ago how to make the Muskie Measures
and would help Bob make them if he had a very busy time with lots of orders, so she was anxious
to continue with her Dad’s business and traditions.

Tim and Zoe are filling orders, contacting existing customers, and traveling to Muskie EXPOs. So feel
free to contact them with your orders or questions, and expect the same good service and a smile like Bob
always provided! They live 8 miles out of Ladysmith, just 20 miles from the Patterson cottage, so allow time
for mailing/shipping if you order a Measuring stick, or Grabb-it(s).

You can contact them this way:

I never met Bob but it sounds like he was a quality person. I really like his Grab it product.
