Merry Christmas everyone! Soon to be Happy New Year!

Not much to add from the last report, except that ice conditions are improving on most area lakes. ATV and snowmobile traffic is the main source of travel for me right now. Ice thicknesses of 5 to 7 inches is pretty common on most lakes.

Walleyes are biting very good right now. Jigging and tip ups are catching a lot of fish for me. Suckers/shiners on light leads with Tip-ups or Jiggin Raps, Forage Minnows, and Buckshot spoons are catching the fish.

I've gotten fish off of grass, coontail, sand, and rock over the past couple of days filming with Gillespie. Haven't really tried to target any panfish, although we did get into some perch in deep mud Thursday.

I've heard of some good reports on pike action in the shallow bays of cabbage, with lots of flags and fish...haven't targeted pike yet personally, but I am sure I will shortly.

Tickets for the Fibber's Ice Tournament are available at Ray's and at Fibber's....JAN 26T 2013

Good Luck All!
