Upper bay iced over!

Drove up to Kipling today to check on the ice. The whole bay north of the Shell gas station is iced over! The calm conditions and single digit temps last night did the trick.

10 day forecast looks pretty good - http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/Escanaba+MI+49829:4:US Temps in the teens at night, and low to mid 20's during the day. Another plus - winds mostly out of the north and west. No big rollers coming in from the south to bust up the ice.

Pretty much dead calm last night and single digit temps... makin ice fast like this! I'm sure I will be in for some minnows real soon Chris!:cool:

One of our customers called Diane this morning to tell her he had 3 inches of ice on Center Reef. He didn't say if he was there yesterday, or this morning before he went to work.

Going to be cold again tonight. Should be pushing 4 inches by the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed.
