We've had some action the last two days on a couple bigger fish. Unfortunately we lost both of them. We did catch a 39 incher and had a couple other hits and some follows. The two we lost were upper forty inch fish. One was on a Bulldawg and the other on a sucker. The Bulldawg fish hit right at the boat and we had it on for a little bit. I thought that one was a done deal but not so much.

Water temps were 48 to 49 degrees and it was really crappy weather.

Hi Ty, glad to see you are getting some shots at bigger fish. We looked for you on Saturday the 27th and Sunday 28th. There were quite a few trailers at Treelands, but not sure if one them was yours. We didn't see anything on Saturday, but we did manage to get a bunch of snags with bulldawgs :-( On Sunday, we had one short-strike on a bulldawg, it bit through part of the tail. We saw one other fish coming in on a Warlock but it turned away and we never saw it again. We thought the suckers might get some attention, but not so much.

Have you seen those groups of guys camping and fishing from the islands with lots of lines out from shore? Any idea what that is all about?

See you at the Muskie Expo!
