Has anyone launched at hunter's point lately? Any hidden hazards I should be aware of? Coming in tomorrow for the weekend of fishing and a little worried about low water.

thanks,

Hunters point is not a good choice with anything bigger than maybe a jon boat? Channel buoy's laying flat on their sides, I was there Sunday morning? .......Sorry, This low water really sucks!

Isn't there a new launch down by Stonington? And does that have enough water still?

thanks for any info there.

Yep, there is a new launch down by Stonington. It's a nice facility in a protected little bay/harbor. I used it back in mid June. I can't remember if there is a buoy system to lead you out to the bay. I do recall some big rocks just under the surface on the left on the way out. I didn't have any problem on the way out but unfortunately dinged my skeg on the way in. The water was fairly calm on the way out but real nasty on the way in.

Sorry, I'm not much help on the current conditions.
