Hi everyone,

Fished yesterday under a cloudless bright blue sky with almost no wind. With the air temps in the 70's, it seemed more like August then the last day of Sept. But the trees turning an array of colors reminded it is fall. the water temps have gone back up to 62 degrees with the warm weather we are enjoying.

It was a slow bite for most of the day. I wound up catching 2 walleyes, a bunch of perch, bluegills, and a Sm bass. releaseing everything. Caught most fish on jigs and leeches except a walleye and a perch caught on my weight forward spinners. The fish caught on the jigs were on the deeper woody humps and the fish caught on the weight forward spinners were caught in the weeds. The weeds are producing sporadically while the woody humps are still more consistent.

A word of caution, With the many floating mud bogs to watch for, the low water levels are exposing more hazards all the time. When you come to enjoy all the beauty that the Chippewa Flowage has to offer, slow down so you can take in all the sights and avoid all the hazards. Good luck fishing everyone.
