I took the weekend off from guiding but fished a little with family and friends. I think we probably put in about four hours of fishing over the long weekend. We didn't fish at all Saturday but fished for a couple hours on Sunday. Rachel caught a 45 1/2 incher on Sunday burning a Cowgirl. That was a cool figure eight hit. One of the best this year. On Monday my buddy Craig stopped by to get me early in the morning but I slept in. He came back two hours later after catching two fish and needing new hooks on his Pacemaker. Rachel and I went out with Craig for a couple hours and had three follows but nothing hitting. Looks like we missed the hot bite. From what I heard the fish were moving pretty good over the weekend.
