Hi everyone,
Guided Dave for a half day yesterday. We were after walleyes, but we never found one willing to take a ride in my boat. We caught a few bluegills and that was all. That's just the way it goes sometimes. Not much fun when they don't cooperate, but had a really enjoyable time talking with Dave about acquatences we both knew and Dave understands that sometimes the fish just won't go.
The weather was gorgeous with mostly sunny skies and a moderate SW wind that actually made a decent walleye chop. The breeze helped make the 85 degree air temps bearable. The water temps are back up to 74 degrees and I saw more bug casings floating by while we were out there idicating that the bugs are still hatching big time. The bug hatch has been very prolific this summer and that's a good thing. Feeds a lot of fish. Good luck fishing everyone.
