TFFA Pig & Corn Roast Aug. 11th, 2012

The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage Association will hold its 17th annual Pig & Corn Roast on Saturday, August 11th with food service starting at 4:00 PM until it’s gone, so get there early for the “wings and drum sticks.” This event will be held at the Gateway Lodge & Resort located between Mercer and Butternut on the north end of the Turtle Flambeau Flowage off of Highway FF at N4695 Popko Circle West. The menu includes pork that is slow roasted on site along with all the fixings in addition to farm fresh sweet corn and scrumptious homemade desserts. Live music will be provided by Dave Sky. Raffles with prizes donated by local businesses will be held throughout the afternoon and evening, so bring your lucky rabbit’s foot. Dancing, singing and laughter are guaranteed. I got to go last year when it was at the Midway, it was great ! The Corn was awesome, not sure how that will go this year with the drought.So far this year the corn from the souther part of the state is tough. The food is very, very good. Not going to be able to make it this year. Enyoy everyone its great !. :p
