Had a buddy in town from Green Bay. He and his daughter wanted to get out for a couple hours and do a little fishing. We started out fishing for smallmouth in the lake, but it was a little too rough. We ended up fishing in the Escanaba harbor for panfish. First spot we tried was in about 10 feet of water on the edge of a weedline. We caught dozens of small perch and bluegills, and ended up keeping 12 fish. They would hardly touch a worm under a bobber, but a teardrop fished straight over the side of the boat, with a small piece of worm was money.

Cheap, easy, fun fishing, if you want it.
