We tried to start at 7:00AM yesterday but it turned out to be about 9:00AM by the time the storms passed through and we were able to fish. I think we got about an inch of rain. We tried a bunch of different spots and had one wake up on a Ghosttail and two take swats at them. One was a small one right at the boat and the other seemed to be a bigger fish out a little bit. We were pretty close to getting hooks into that one.

In the evening I had Gary Brady out and right away we had two fish follow Gary's Flowage Boa at once. I haven't had that happen in a while. The rest of the night was a little slow but we did manage a 41 1/2 incher on a Lonardi Bucktail. That's a bucktail one of my long time clients made last year. We ended the night on a smallmouth bass eating a Creeptonite. Time to go in after that. Why do they always get every hook in them?

The water temps went down slightly but you still want to be careful in handling the fish you catch.
