Walleye and Panfish have slowed a bit with the water temps topping out in the mid 80's but the Musky and Bass fishing is going strong. Largemouth Bass are being taken in thick shoreline cover. We have been working the fallen and overhanging trees with tubes and senko style worms. You really need a med/heavy rod and at least 14lb fireline to pull these fish out of the cover. We have also been hitting the heavy weed cover with frogs on the bright sunny days. We are finding the Smallies sitting right with the Largemouth along the shoreline and tubes seem to be their choice in lures. Mustard Yellow or Crayfish patterns are our top colors. We are still getting a few Walleye on jigs and leeches working the shoreline break. Yesterday while Bass fishing we pulled a half dozen 15" to 18" Walleye out of thick shoreline cover on Tube Jigs. Fishermen are reporting a lot of following Musky, We are getting them to eat Glide Baits, Double 8 Dreamcatcher Bucktails and surface lures like the Dr. Evil and the Fat B.

Pictured is Ross's Sport Shop Client Guy with a nice Smallie and Me with a 43.25" released Musky, both caught earlier in the week.
