We have had extremes in the weather dept. water temps have been around mid 60 main lake
The walleyes in Rowan have really been great 7 to 12 ft of water, the small mouth fishin has been consistent
All over the lake and some times right in with the walleyes, jigs top waters and crank baits. The lake trout fishing has
Been very good,20 to 35 ft down over deep water like 30 up to 15 lbs in a morning just great fun. Baits spoons sliver,
With green or red color on them, but basically silver.jigging for them has worked well also with the river 2 sea baits
That's my favorite way to fish them just love the hit.Now the muskies have been a little bit strange kind of like you will find one or five of them in a spot and fish five other spots like it and nobody home opener was great with only 12 people in camp and 45 fish caught Dan Meyers had the biggest one at 49 and 3/4 could not get 50 out of it but truly a giant
Fish and far from his biggest here every one caught several fish lots in the mid 45 inch range and some really big ones
Seen off the sides of the structure in deeper water.Paul has really been on a roll with his guests, seeing 25 fish in one day and boatin 3 of them. What's the bait you ask well mostly c.g s and not reeled fast just nice and slow.well that's it for now and untill next time always calm waters to you all later Don
