Hi everyone,

Guided a father and his two sons out of Indian Trail resort today. With tough conditions to start the morning waiting out the thunderstorm, this trio worked hard to finally put fish in the boat. The storm seemed to put the walleyes off for the morning and to call it slow was an understatement. The afternoon saw a much improved bite as Jerimiah caught his limit of walleyes and the rest of us caught northerns, sm. bass, perch, crappies, and rock bass.

The water temps are at 70 degrees with the air temps going from low 60,s in the morning to the high 80,s by the afternoon. The sky cleared up by noon and it was just a gorgeous day. Thankfully we had wind to off set the hot temps. The wind howled at times from the SW turning to a more mild wind in late afternoon. We caught all our fish out in the deep wood on jigs and leeches with the exception of one bass on the bobber rig. Good luck fishing everyone.
