Does anyone know if the bluegills are done? Coming up next weekend with the wife for her 1st time fishing trip on the flowage and hoping to get some fast bluegill action.

Can't tell you for sure if gills are done or not, I for one have not been able to find any numbers of gills anywhere out there. Not only that, but I haven't seen any big schools of this years perch hatch, and I'm seeing very few young smallies crusing the shallows.

Hi Don,
We have been very lucky with the bluegills for the past several years. This year the four of us caught our limit (which isn't much on the TFF) over Memorial Day. All in the shallows on the beds. Last year we also caught our limit, but in 22' of water in front of the dam.
Last weekend the wife and I got out and did catch a couple (one 9 1/2") but were only using Gulp vs live bait and thus, we did pretty poorly. Going up over the 4th but will try more for walleyes or maybe do some "stump jumping" for panfish.
