I had some new clients yesterday and the muskie gods shined on them. While trying to figure out how to cast a baitcaster, Charley made a cast no further than ten feet on his first cast ever for muskie and one tried to eat the bait right at the boat. Even better, it was a bucktail but Charley didn't know to keep it underwater so it was skipping accross the top of the water without the blade spinning. That was his first cast ever. Although the casts didn't get much further Charley managed to get a 40 incher on a Corey Meyer bucktail. Charley's sister Dawn lost a big one also. It was the same fish we had up Sunday. That was on a Ghosttail. The wind was a little tough for first time casters but they tried hard.

I went back out in the evening with another group and we had a follow right away and then Greg caught a small one. We had one other hit a Stillwater and then it got even windier and cold.

We'll see what the cold front brings us today,
