Took a chance and drove up to Mille Lacs for the weekend, mistake. Fished some nice cabbage, rocky points and reefs most of the day Friday but never raised a fish. Got tired of fighting the wind and finally let it push me back to the launch ramp. Caught a nice walleye in some reeds with a small jig but had to toss him back because of the slot. Wind was a lot worse on Saturday and pretty much blew me off the lake. Learned my lesson, taking my sixteen footer back to the Chip where we belong. Everybody have fun this season, see you on the water.
