We've had very good action for the first few days of Musky season, plenty of fish in the low to mid 30's have been willing to eat and a couple in the mid 40's following but not quite ready to go. The best lure choices so far have been slow moving topwater in the early morning and flat sided twitch baits as the sun gets a little higher in the sky, topwater gets productive again in the evening after surface temps have warmed and the strong winds we've had slow down. The most productive spots have been points near shallow warm bays, check the wind blown points first for your most active fish. Feeder creeks and anywhere else you can find warm water with some current have also been productive. We have a full moon on Monday so if your fishing this weekend pay attention to the moon rise and set times and try to be on the water around both. Good Luck!!
