sat pm a front came in after 3-4 days of 80 degree weather, several guides were out sat. scouting and reported limits of walleyes from 8-12' of water, some in emerging weeds and some especially the slot and over fish off rocky points and shoreline or island connected bars.
today 3 guides out with guests all caught walleyes with plenty of nice eaters 16-17.5" and alot of slot fish mostly from 12-18', slight deeper with the cooler nite and weather than the day before. mostly jigs and minows or plastics, actually danny reported 4-1 gulp over minnows on some spots.a mix of weed and rock but predominatly better off rocky structures and out deeper off the tips of downed trees.some fish were marked already using deeper humps but were tough to get to bite.
a few bass caught fishing walleyes but there were some seen moving around bedding areas so it won't be long and they will be on the beds.
several nice pike caught 36-39", 2 48" muskie bit jigs and minnows,1 off the dock and were water released . sorry, just splashing pics.
the next 2-4 weeks should be excellent fishing. weather projected to be 65-75 through the week with mostly sun and possibly a day of clouds and a bit of rain but still warm.
give us a call if you get the itch to wet a line, got some disc specials to fill remaining cabins through june.also just had a last minute cancellation for june 2.
