Hi everyone,
Guided a half day today. Took two guys from Tennesee looking for some walleyes. Fishing mainly deep wood with a very stiff south wind under a bright sunny sky, we had a hard time finding them. Gary finally caught a nice one with a slip bobber and a leech. Fishing hard the rest of the afternoon, we weren't able to find the honey hole. We did catch perch,Sm. bass, and bluegills, but no more walleyes. We tried one weed area, but caught the bass there.Everything else was out in the deep wood on leeches.
The air temps soared up into the 80's and the water temps were 63 degrees. All we needed to make it better was some cooperative walleyes. I'll be out again tommorow to look for them. Good luck fishing everyone.
