Delavan Lake surface temps are hovering in the high 50's at the surface most days by the end of the day in the mid 60’s. Large mouth and northern pike this past weekend was the best bite fishing slow and covering large areas of water. Largemouth Males in as shallow as 2 feet of water females in a pre-spawn pattern holding in deeper water. Casting Slixsticks sluggos shallow and Drop-shotting night crawlers, 3-4” finesse worm, suspending, weightless stick baits near the main points along rock/deep weed beds. We have caught large pike in shallow water 6-8 ft feeding on schooling pan-fish slowly drifting suckers on floats while casting small spinners. The schools of crappie have scattered moving back out to 15-20 ft of water making them harder to target it will pick up with our rain run-off and warmer days.
