Hey Jeff,
It has come up since then, but not much. Still starting awfully low and no big rains here at the lake yet. Some lighter rains though and other rain in the district. It sounded like they increased flow in Fort Frances so that will help as well.
If you haven't visited the water control board website, there is some pretty cool info you can check out. Compare to other years and percentile vs historical normal levels, etc.
http://www.lwcb.ca/
As of May 3, it showed the up 3 inches from the previous week and another 1-2 inch rise expected for the coming week. The current level is in the 50th percentile so that would be dead on "normal" with half the time it being higher and half the time it being lower at this time of year.
See you soon.

Hey Justin, hope everything is going good up there. Is it this year or next year you are following Shania? Any fishing reports yet? I know some of the seasons (walleye, musky, etc) are closed right now.

Thanks for the post!
Things are going pretty well getting opened so far. (knock on wood, please....twice.)
No fishing reports yet, but there will likely be some people around this weekend trying for a few crappies and pitching baits for northerns and smallies in advance of the walleye opener.
Shania begins her run at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on December 1 of this year. I will be buying my tickets in the next month for at least 1 show during her first run of 10 shows.
Hopefully I can win the megabucks and stay down there until it's time to come back to work. So far, I have been unsuccessful in opting-out of my resort contract. There may be some legal maneuvering to be done yet so I haven't given up hope!

Glad to hear everything is going good so far up there and I hope it continues! It will be a fun time for you seeing Shania, but don't stay too long. We all love your posts and always look forward to your weekly reports. Good luck with walleye opener, hope the weather is good for you guys up there.

Thanks for the kind words, Sled.
We've received pretty darn good opening-up weather. A hint of a storm tonight, but otherwise looks clear the next couple days to get things looking good around camp.
I can post from anywhere with an internet connection and I could pretty much read previous years reports and post fishing reports weekly too!! If I make an extended stay, we'll still get ya'll some information..even if it's from Lake Mead!
Cheers.
