Fishing Thrills Guide Service

Fishing on the Rock River/Lake Koshkonong was outstanding during last week’s sunny warm spell. This past weekend with the chilling windy east winds, rains falling it has been tough adding cold dirty water and inconsistent weather that made boat control tough with many fish coming unhooked or many light biters missed even with the use of stinger hooks! It will be outstanding the next few weeks or longer as more fish return to the lake, the weather becomes more stable and the water warms. Both walleye, sauger and pike have mostly spawned out and are headed back down river. White bass really starting up now all are actively feeding making for fun times. We have been catching most of our fish jigging and trolling depending on conditions. It should be an interesting opener with the cooler water I still have a few open dates the first week of the inland waters. The panfishing has been active biting on area lakes. I have been noticing many game fish moving about the shallower waters with the clean water conditions as of late while in pursuant of pan fish, last week bluegills and crappies have been quite active on Delavan Lake and The Madison Chain of Lakes.... I'll post about more bodies of water as the week goes on. Hope to see you on the lakes!
