Water temps fell after the unseasonably warm weather, but are holding steady in the mid 40's....some days when there isn't any wind, the surface warms close to 50. With the freezing nights lately, water temps will drop a little over the weekend.

It's been fun getting out during April with the boat. Crappies and perch continue to bite well on both live bait and artificials. Look for the north bays that have 3 to 5 feet of water with carry-over weeds in them. Work quietly around these areas until the fish are found.

Mini-Mites, Frizzies, and small fatheads on a gold hook are the best producers. Perch are still full of eggs on the lakes that I have caught them....we've had some really nice fish to 11.75"....which is very nice. Also, crappies up to 14".

Let me know if you are interested in an April trip.

GOOD LUCK!
