Hey Ty,

I was wondering how the warm temps (water and weather) will effect the spawn?

Also, what areas of the flowage are major spawning spots historically?

I'm hoping that the warm water temps will be beneficial for the spawn but you have to think of it like a pregnancy in humans. Even though it might be a great day for a drive to the hospital to have a baby you still have to wait the nine months before the baby is ready to come out. Some of the eggs wont be ripe for the muskie to spawn so even though the water temps are close to perfect the muskie wont be ready to spawn. They might go through the motions but not really drop eggs. They will spawn more than once in a spring if weather dictates.

As for where, I probably shouldn't say on a public forum because it could be used negatively. It varies year to year though and sometimes where you think muskies should spawn is the last spot they pick.

Thanks Ty. Understandable about mentioning it on a public forum. Just interested in things like that. Makes you think about things a little more
