We have been gone on vacation the last two weeks. Wow, what a change upon our return!
We were welcomed back by the loons calling on Saturday evening. This might be a new record besides the early ice out that we missed.
Today greeted us with the prehistoric calls of the sandhill cranes along with all the other waterfowl that have returned. We enjoyed morning coffee watching an otter go after his catch of the day.
On Saturday Night, we went to Lake of the Falls to watch the walleye run. Unfortunately, I think the run is over as we only spotted about 6 small males.
Fishing for crappies, perch and gills should be great over the next few weeks, so if you want to satisfy that TFF desire, come on up to Wisconsin's Scenic Wilderness Waters Area for a true adventure. This could be once in a lifetime experience to fish the TFF in April.
