It seems like the ice will off the lakes pretty soon at the rate your tempertures are at. Last year at this time, I was worried that the ice would still be there for opening day. What in your opinions does having a early ice out mean for May 15th eye fishing? I am guessing a heck of a lot of bugs. Saw like one last year, but what does this mean as just an opinion.

I think we are going to see some advanced weed growth this year and of course warmer temps. the long and the short of it is I believe that the Walleye will be in the weeds and feeding heavy at that time, due to the fact that they should be fully recovered from spawning and be starting there early summer patterns. But the cooler weather could change things and Mother Nature always has a way of leveling everything out.
